North West USA - 20/9/2003

Hello all

Hello all Now we are in San Francisco, enjoying this beautiful city. Having the last day together before Erez is flying back to Israel and Yochai moving eastbound. After Vancouver we took the ferry to Vancouver Island. There we drove all the way to the Pacific Rim National Park. While visiting the Park's Visitor center we had a nice conversation with Kirsten one of the local rangers. She invited us to dinner with all the other park employees in the small town named Ucluelet. It was a great evening. At the morning we had some hot soup on the magical shore of the pacific... From there we continued to Victoria and on the why we stopped at The Butchart Gardens - fifty-five acres of wonderful floral display, offering spectacular views as you stroll along meandering paths and expansive lawns The night we spent Back in the USA after taking another ferry (The moon rise picture was taken there). The visit to the Olympic national park was short because it was raining all day long. We headed Yosemite National Park which would be our last national park. On the why there we passed through and camped in another two parks. One of them was Crater Lake national park. We saw the beauty of the deep blue lake created inside a volcano crater. We decided to climb Mt. Scott at 8,929 ft and were stunned by the view surrounding us. We both agree that it was the best view we have seen on this tour. Lassen Volcanic National Park was the second one. There we had the chance to play with snow. You can see Eliezer - the snowman down in the picture section. The hot springs and the mud pools in this park was nothing comparing the ones we saw in Yellowstone.
