Las Vegas and the big Canyons - 21/8/2003

Hello all

Hello everybody how is everything? We are great, having the best time ever. We finely started hiking in the national parks, the first one was Zion national park. At our first day there we took an 8 hours trail at the end, after 15 Km and 750 m' of climb we got as height as 3000 meters above sea level, and the view was stunning! (You can see for yourself in the pictures billow). The next two nights we slept in Zion park (it was hot as hail). The rest of the park was grate and we even found a nice spring to swim in and believe me it was cold water… Our next stop was Bryce canyon, the park is much smaller then Zion but we found it as much as beautiful as Zion. The main difference was the temperature at night: as much it was hot at night in Zion it was cold at Bryce (it got near 9 c) and it was raining. While we where hiking in the canyon we have met Jewish family from Taxes, they were so nice and the next few hours we spent hiking together. They invited us to visit them in San-Francisco in few weeks and finely they gave us some good advice about places that we should see. Now we are in the north rim of the Grand Canyon (which you will see next time…). Bye bye for now and Be in touch.
